About The Author

Dave Westphal

Many times, as I traveled around the world, I would meet people they would ask me what I do for a living. I would then deliver my elevator speech" the three minute version" I would say that I traveled to places that need help, build a business and work with the different people in the word and countries. Helping then with know-how and sharing real life experiences on team building and helping them in their abilities, giving them a chance to make a positive difference in their life and others. Almost all the people would suggest I write a book to share my experiences and examples for others to see. That's why I wrote the book.

About The Book

The Journey Home

See things as they can be, not as they are

The Journey Home is an honest, inspiring memoir that takes you deep into the life of Dave Westphal, a boy raised on a hardworking Illinois farm who grows into a leader in agribusiness and serves his country with grit and pride. From milking cows before dawn to commanding artillery in the Army, Dave's story is a testament to family, perseverance, faith, and the power of seeing things not just as they are, but as they can be.

Through vivid memories of farm life, Friday night football, Vietnam-era service, and lessons learned in boardrooms and cornfields alike, this book reminds readers that true success comes from courage, faith in people, and doing the right thing, even when it's hard.
